Module Test Routines
Follow these routines for testing minimal functionality of modules.
GUI
- Start OpenWalnut
- Close the Control Panel
- Reopen it using the right mouse button menu
- Press F9 to close it again
- Press F9 to open it again
- Close the Coronal, Sagittal and Axial views and the Spacer (you will probably need the right mouse button menu here).
- The left bar should disappear completely now
- Reopen the four parts of the left bar.
- Close the toolbars (permanent, compatible modules) using the right mouse button menu.
- Reopen them
Modules
Navigation Slices
- Load a T1 image
- Check if the slices appear
- Move the slices using the right mouse button
- Rotate the scene to check performance
- Check the Threshold slider of the corresponding data set
- Load a second data set (e.g. FA)
- Check its Threshold slider
- Check its Opacity slider
- Check its Interpolation check box
- Try different color maps for it
Arbitrary Plane
- following from the navigation slice test, so if datasets are loaded fine, if not please load some
- start the module Arbitrary Plane and select it in the control panel
- uncheck/check the checkbox "Show manipulators"
- check the checkbox "Show complete"
- grab the manipulators (small grey spheres) with the right mouse button and drag them around
- check the checkbox "Attach to crosshair"
- move the navigation slices
- uncheck the checkbox "Attach to crosshair"
- press the reset buttons
- start another arbitrary plane module by pressing the button in the icon bar
- move its manipulators around, maybe hide the manipulators of the first one to not get them confused

Fiber Display
- Load a t1 image
- Load a fiber file
- Select the fiber file in the control panel
- Change the color scheme to Local Color and back to Global Color
- Select the Fiber Display module in the control panel
- Activate the checkbox "Use tubes"
- Move the "Tube thickness" slider
- Deactivate the checkbox "Use tubes"
- Activate the checkbox "Use Texture"
- Deactivate the checkbox "Use Texture"
- Click "Create New ROI" in the icon bar
- Grab this ROI with the right mouse button and move it around
- Select (left click) this ROI in the control panel->ROIs
- Check/Uncheck the checkbox "Show"
- Check/Uncheck the checkbox "NOT"
- Click "Create New ROI" in the icon bar
- Move both ROIs around to select a fiber bundle
- Select the Branch over both ROIs in the control panel->ROIs
- Check/Uncheck the checkbox "NOT"
- Click the color bar "Bundle Color" and select a color
- Select the fiber dataset in the control panel
- Change Color Scheme to "Custom Color"
- Select a ROI
- press DEL
